Animal Surrender

Thank you for reaching out to The Broome County Humane Society located in Binghamton, NY. Please read the following information carefully.

Our goal is to help you resolve the problems you are experiencing so that you can keep your pet, but we also understand that some problems are out of your control and may require you to relinquish your pet.

If keeping your pet is not an option, we encourage you to rehome your pet on your own. This prevents your pet from entering the sheltering system and enables you to manage your pet's own adoption. Through the link below, you can create your own pet adoption profile in less than 10 minutes. Please be sure to choose Rehoming Your Pet – Rehome by Adopt-a-Pet.com (adoptapet.com).

Shelter Relinquishment

If you have exhausted alternative resources to relinquishment (such as attempting to overcome the challenges, you are experiencing with your pet or trying to Rehome your pet privately) then surrendering your pet may be the next option to explore. Please complete the animal surrender profile.
