Fiona and Maggie (November 2009)

Both Fiona and Monday are doing wonderful. They've taken over the house and they greatly enjoy sleeping with us -- at least we do with them! Also -- hope there's no 'rule' against this, but we'd really like to change Monday's name to Maggie. We think it sounds similar and we really like Maggie better -- hope that's okay. Fiona is a sweety -- they both LOVE to have their pictures taken.

Colden (Tanner) (November 2009)

My husband and I adopted Colden (aka: Tanner) 3 weeks ago from the Binghamton Humane Association. As far as we know, he is a Pitt bull/Rottweiler mix, but we also think he is part snuggle monster because he loves to bury himself under the covers and curl up next to us for naps. Colden is roughly 4.5 months old and he has already learned "sit", "down" and "stay", plus he has barely had any accidents in the house!

So far Colden has visited the Good Dog Park, Green Lakes, Highland Forest, Clark Reservation, and of course...the pet store! He loves his toys and bones and likes to chew on various sticks in the yard. He has also come a long way and is not the shy little fellow he used to be! We love Colden with all of our hearts and can't wait to watch him grow and have more adventures together.

Hook and Peter Pan (October 2009)

Hello All,

My husband and I recently adopted 2 kittens from the Humane Society. Their names were Pirate and Zorro, but since then we have renamed them Hook (he has 3 legs and 1 deformed leg) and Peter Pan (Pete for short). We chose these names because they both get up on their hind legs to swing at eachother and it is just a riot!!!

Hook was not shy at all when we brought him into our home, he did not hide and allowed our almost 2 year old to play with him right away. Pete was way more cautious and refused to come out from under pillows or couches for a day or two. Two completely different personalities.

Since then they are out and about and constantly want to be with us. Hook is more curious and kitten like, while Pete is laid back, prefers to snuggle and comes when you call him. They both found a great spot to sit and watch birds and squirrels, up on our bay window facing the front yard.

I am also pregnant, so they prefer to lay all over my legs and belly (as you can see in one photo). The baby kicks when they hear them purr! :)

Oz (Joey) (October 2009)

Hi Everyone,

Joey is settling in very well. He's a smart little guy but tends to act cowed when he doesn't understand. He walks well and has a sense of humor. The cats are still upstairs but they have started coming down at night, when he is confined to the bedroom. During the day, they sniff at each other through a baby gate.

His name is now Oz, both a reference to 'the great and powerful (Pay no attention to the little man behind the curtain.)' and to Ozymandias from the Watchmen story.

Thanks to all,

Marilyn and Chuck Moore

Nokie (September 2009)

Hi all!!!! As I write this Nokie is rubbing my leg! She has fit right into our family and I am enclosing some pix of her!!! She didn't quite enjoy her first day but she acts like she has always been here now. She vomited just as we pulled in our driveway and was growling if you even looked in her direction but by the next morning she liked us!!! (ha-ha). The kids have been really good with her too by letting her get used to things the first day, but they have been so good from watching to make sure she is not by the door when we leave to making sure she has food and a clean potty.

Thank you for all you do so that these helpless animals don't have to suffer anymore than they already have. I wish there were more people in the world like you all! Hope you enjoy the pictures.

Thanks again,

The Hall Family
